MOON (2009)

[Update 11/17/2020: This review blows. I cut out a bunch. Maybe I'll fix it one day.]

The set up for this movie is brilliant (even if it does borrow heavily from 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY, SOLARIS and even "Red Dwarf"): in the future a astronaut, who's nearing the end of his 3 year tour working alone at a station on the far side of the moon, starts to have strange visions. He begins to think that he might not be alone. Now, in the right hands, like say Stanley Kubrick or even David Lynch, that story could go in any number of mind-blowingly awesome/creepy directions. Instead, the writer and director of MOON wastes the built-in tension of the story.
