With a title like that, I knew I was going to love it.
What I didn't expect was how absolutely beautifully produced it is. Each page is exquisite. From the typeface on a printed background of one of Kathryn Ireland's fabrics, to the framing around each photo and the edging on the pages.
It appears that Kathryn is quite the entertainer and loves nothing more than having a home packed to the rafters with extended family and friends. Everyone is encouraged to pitch in and help and treat the home as their own. She describes long, languid picnics by the river; pizzas under the stars and idyll afternoons spent sleeping under peach trees in hammocks. Divine.While owning my very own farm in France is out of the question, I'd certainly love to take on her entertaining ethos and spirit of welcome and create my very own corner of bliss right here where I am.
